A husband and wife reunited after 60 years apart
(read the story here)

We were pals for almost 5 years before we started dating. As of today, we've been together for as long as we were “just friends.” Thanks for the best 1,785 days, ever.

(from How to Tie a Tie)

Several years ago—before I carried a digital camera with me everywhere—I went out for pizza with some pals. When we ordered, I asked for a “side of love” along with the pizza. The wait staff brought us a salad with “love” spelled out in cherry tomatoes. Awesome. A few months later I was at a diner and I tried the same stunt. The waitress brought us a plate with a few dollops of whipped cream, some maraschino cherries, and “love” written out in chocolate syrup. I've been too scared to try it for a third time...I want to ask Joyful readers to give it a whirl—and send in your stories (and photos).

Cupid is an abandoned horse named for the heart-shaped mark on her forehead. After being nursed back to health by Buck Kalinowski and the children in his outreach program, she gave birth to a pony with a perfect arrow on his back. Learn more about Cupid, Arrow, and Lovie here.

My husband and I moved from California to the Midwest right after we got married. People often ask how we like the weather. I love it—all of it. From the lightning storms and the muggy summers to the mounds of snow and the freezing rain, it all makes me joyful. Thanks to Pavlov and the immense power of sense memory, it all feels like our life together.

On Valentine’s Day, 16 years ago, Dylan promised Brenda something “warm, red, and close to [her] heart.” His gift? A date at a blood donation center. Consider giving the gift of life, if you don’t have the Mad Cow. You get cheez-its and cookies, and leave feeling very Joyful indeed.
